Warsaw, 18 January 2016 – AAA AUTO has opened its second branch in Warsaw today, now its third branch in Poland. The new car dealership, which will sell used vehicles, is located in the northern part of Warsaw at Modlińska 176.
In the first phase of its operations, the new branch in Warsaw will be purchasing approximately 20 vehicles a week. These will then be transferred to the dealerships in Piaseczny, on the southern outskirts of the city, and in Katovice in Silesia, which was opened last year as part of the company’s return to the Polish market.
“We are opening our second branch in Warsaw to cater to the needs of our customers from the northern part of the city and to make it easier for them to sell their vehicle or to purchase a new one. From today, they won’t have to waste precious time travelling to our main Polish branch in Piaseczny on the southern edge of the city. Also, if a client chooses any car from the 500 vehicles available there, we will deliver it to the Warsaw branch,” says Przemysław Vonau, Regional Director of AAA AUTO for Poland and member of the Board of Directors of the AAA AUTO group.
The launch of the new branch in Warsaw followed the expansion of outlets with the addition of the Katovice branch in December 2015. This covers an area of 2800 m² and may be expanded to 2 ha if needed, which will create space for almost 1,000 vehicles. In April 2015, AAA AUTO opened a new used car showroom in Piaseczny near Warsaw. It currently offers 500 vehicles, with 70 employees providing complete services involved in running the branch on a daily basis. The branch in Piaseczny should sell 300 – 350 vehicles per month.
The other branches will be most likely opened in Poznan, Wroclaw and Bydgoszcz. The company wants to invest approximately 2 million EUR into each of them. The expansion into Poland was strengthened, following the sale of AAA AUTO to the Polish-British private equity investment fund Abris Capital Partners, which made this expansion its main priority for a further development of the company.
According to the continuous market monitoring, carried out by AAA AUTO through a combination of analyses of all available classified car ad servers, the competition and its own purchase and sales data, advertisements were placed for 2.5 million used vehicles in Poland in 2015, i.e. two and a half times more than in the Czech Republic. The average price of a used vehicle was 21,172 PLN and the average mileage was 169,026 km. The average age of the used vehicles on offer is 11.9 years.
As part of its international expansion, AAA AUTO is currently planning to open another branches in Hungary, too. The existing car dealerships in the Czech Republic and Slovakia are being modernised and expanded. The last branch to be expanded, at the end of November 2015, was in Plzeň, which offers up to 350 used vehicles.
