The Czech Republic’s best-selling used car over the last six months was the Škoda Octavia
Prague, 12 July 2018 – Customers of the AURES Holdings group, which operates 44 car dealerships in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland under the AAA AUTO brand, purchased 40 912 cars this year, over 25 000 of which were sold in the Czech Republic. The group thus achieved a record-breaking figure of 2.1 million customers buying and selling during the last six months. The most popular used car in the Czech Republic from January to June was the Škoda Octavia. The group also saw a rise in demand for cars with automatic transmission and SUV models.
“Customer interest in cars from AAA AUTO, Mototechna and 1. autoDiskont was very high in the first half of the year. This can be seen from the fact that the group sold a record-breaking number of cars during the first half of the year, at almost 41 000. The sales figure for June of 7 400 cars made it our best month in the last 10 years. I am sure that, in addition to the positive trend on the used car market overall, customers have also been attracted by our innovations, which this year have focused mainly on services and products for customers throughout the group and in all segments,” said Karolína Topolová, Director General of AURES Holdings, which operates the AAA AUTO car dealership network.
In the Czech Republic, Mototechna is the most innovative brand in the group and is now responsible for over 20 % of total sales. “The increasing interest shown by customers in nearly new cars from Mototechna is proof that we have chosen the right strategy in focusing more on developing this brand. We will continue to support Mototechna in the future. Our latest activity is a link with top tennis player Karolína Plíšková, who will play a major role in the further communication of our brand,” said Karolína Topolová.
