Prague, 10 September – The traditional Czech brand Mototechna will be celebrating two years since its reintroduction to the market in 2012. The tripling of sales to just under 8,800 cars sold compared with the first year of operation serves as proof that there is a trend of growing interest in good-as-new and company cars among Czech customers. The Mototechna Premium brand, which offers luxury cars with low mileage and minimum age, is also popular.
Since the launch of Mototechna in September 2012, roughly 9,000 customers in the Czech Republic and over 2,200 customers in Slovakia have purchased a car of this brand. “I can confirm that good-as-new and company vehicles are an increasingly common choice among Czech customers, mainly because of their well-documented history, low mileage and significant savings of 30% to 40% compared with the purchase of a new car,” said Karolína Topolová, CEO of AAA AUTO. According to her, the brand has quickly gained new popularity. “We are receiving amazing feedback from throughout country, where Mototechna, a brand with a more than 60-year tradition, is still being remembered with great nostalgia,” she stated. The average price of Mototechna cars sold during the second year was CZK 278,000. Customers most often leave Mototechna with automobiles from the Czech manufacturer Škoda, namely the Fabia, Octavia, Rapid, Roomster or Yeti models. Other best-sellers include models of the Hyundai (i20, i30 and ix35) and Kia (Ceed and Sportage) brands.
This April, the Mototechna Premium brand was also newly established, featuring premium brand automobiles with extremely low wear and savings of up to 20% to 40% compared with the price of a new car. “In five months, we have sold almost 245 cars under the Mototechna Premium brand, with an average age of 2.5 years and an average price of CZK 850,000,” Karolína Topolová commented regarding the sales of the premium brand. The Mototechna Premium vehicles that performed best among customers in the past half-year were BMW 3 and 5, VW Tiguan, BMW X5 and X6, Volvo XC60, VW CC, Audi A6, Q5 and Q7. “I would say that the most interesting cars we have sold include models such as the Nissan GT-R, Maserati GranTurismo, Bentley Continental,BMW X5 and X6 M50d, Porsche 911 or Mercedes CL and CLS 63 AMG. Currently, we also offer other very attractive vehicles, including a Bentley Continental, Chevrolet Camaro V8 or the Tesla Model S electric car.”
