Prague, 9 April 2014 - Mototechna diversifies its offer through luxury cars with minimal mileage and minimal age under the premium brand Mototechna Premium. The Mototechna brand was relaunched by AAA AUTO in September 2012.
Cars of prestigious makes offered by Mototechna Premium show minimal wear and tear and their prices are much more favourable than those of new cars with the same specifications. They are mainly showroom cars and they are 20-40 per cent cheaper than new cars.
“The main impulse to create the Mototechna Premium brand was the constant increase in luxury car sales, which are up by more than a half year-on-year. The cars are sought after by company owners, businessmen, and also a more demanding private clientele. It’s a generally well-known fact that luxury cars in particular lose their value fast – it could be as much as 40 per cent in the first two years, and even more in some cases. In the present economic situation this is money that people and companies are glad to save,” said AAA AUTO’s CEO Karolína Topolová.
Mototechna Premium will also be the first Czech used-car dealer to have the Tesla model S electric car in its offer. The Tesla model S is a four-door, fully electric sedan made by Tesla Motors. In terms of size it’s in the upper middle category, with an aluminium body and back wheel drive. It is the most powerful of the three versions with an 85 kWh battery and 421 HP has a range of 502 kilometres and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds, which means it is one of the fastest cars in this segment. It also boasts of 1,795 litres of huge luggage compartment capacity.
“Our company wants to prepare for the time when electric cars really take off. That’s why we are cooperating with ČEZ on building recharging stations at our branches. So far, ten are in the pipeline, with one already built in Prague, and preparations are well under way for recharging stations in Brno and České Budějovice. Another step was buying the Tesla Model S car, which is the Mototechna Premium brand flagship in the area of electromobility,” added Topolová.
“We want to use the Elektromobilita ČEZ project to bring about the development of this form of transport in the Czech Republic. The creation of a network of public charging stations in cities and next to motorways and main roads is a key aim of ours. Electric car owners can already recharge in 37 locations, and others will be added in the next few weeks. We are pleased that businesses and the general public are starting to view electric cars as an alternative to normal cars. We expect this trend to continue, particularly as more models of these cars come onto the market,” says Tomáš Knespl, a project manager at ČEZ’s clean technology division.
Mototechna Premium will offer the greatest selection of many luxury brands for affordable prices at one place in the Czech Republic. As a stable and trustworthy partner which has been on the market for almost 75 years, Mototechna guarantees the correct mileage and 100 per cent legal origin of the car. The cars sold under Mototechna Premium brand include the above mentioned Tesla Model S (the sale price of which hasn’t yet been set), the Nissan GT-R for CZK 1,599,999, the Porsche Panamera for CZK 1,299,999, BMW 6 for CZK 1,799,999, Audi A8 for CZK 1,249,999 or Range Rover Evoque for CZK 1,299,999, Porsche Cayenne for CZK 2,299,999 and finally the most expensive car currently in Mototechna’s offer, the Bentley Continental 2013 for CZK 4 950 000. The aim of Mototechna Premium is to satisfy the needs of the most demanding clientele, but more affordable cars can also be found in the offer, priced at half a million crowns or more, such as the Mercedes SLK for CZK 729,999, Volvo XC60 for CZK 829,999 or Lexus GS for CZK 599,999.
The mileage of premium cars from Mototechna Premium brand portfolio does not exceed 80 thousand kilometres and the cars are not more than five years old. Prices start from CZK 500,000 and the cars are available at the Dopraváků street branch in Prague 8.
